Head of Yosemite Park daycare pleads guilty to embezzlement

The former head of the child care center in Yosemite National Park has pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $42,000.
The Fresno Bee reports  that 41-year-old Charity Brocchini faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a fine of $250,000 when she is sentenced in U.S. District Court on March 14.
Brocchini was director of the Yosemite Child Care Center between 2005 and 2009. During that time she embezzled funds by giving herself extra paychecks and using the center's funds to write checks to herself.
The case is the result of an investigation by the National Park Service Investigative Services Branch and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General
